How do you keep the silverware safe when everyone’s after it?

As the FA Cup Final came closer, almost all media outlets wanted to photograph or film the famous cup. Rather than risk handing out the genuine article, The Football Association decided they wanted to create a ‘virtual’ FA Cup.

After spending hours in the company of this iconic silverware, measuring, photographing and scanning, Burrows produced a high-resolution surfaced digital model of the cup, including flowing ribbons. We went on to prepare a series of animations that were screened at the cup final at the new Wembley Stadium.

Our work went on to feature in a number of films used worldwide, including the TV idents for the 2008 season.
